Vitamina: volume and color in a soft shaded yarn in superfine alpaca and merino wool
We are sure that you have already seen and tried many shaded yarns, but you have never tried a shaded yarn like Vitamina.
An excellent natural composition
When you think of the “usual” shaded yarns you immediately think of yarns with good color rendering but very often of poor quality, in whose composition synthetic and acrylic fibers reign supreme.
Not in this case. Vitamina is NOT the classic shaded acrylic yarn.
For this yarn we wanted the maximum results on as many fronts as possible: that of color, that of comfort and that of the advantages of wearing two totally natural raw materials such as superfine merino wool and superfine alpaca.
ONLY NATURAL FIBERS on the skin. Such a fibre!

This is what makes a yarn soft, the choice of superior quality raw materials.
The finer a fiber is, the softer the yarn will become: this is why for the Vitamina yarn we chose superfine alpaca and superfine merino wool.
What does it mean?
The term “superfine” characterizes very thin fibers with very low micronage, between 16 and 20 microns, very similar to the thickness of the highest quality cashmere fibre. Have you understood what type of softness we are talking about??
In Vitamina yarn you have two fibers with this micron and the result can be seen, felt, touched.
A special structure to guarantee a soft and comfortable hand
It wasn’t enough for us to offer you an extraordinary natural composition that could guarantee you unparalleled softness. If this composition is also enhanced by an ad hoc structure, the result is something incredible.
The structure of Vitamina yarn is designed ACCORDING to the properties of its fibres.
Vitamina was born with a bouclé structure, already airy and voluminous in itself, then the magic happens:
- the brushing process that is subsequently applied to the yarn deliberately extracts the fibers from the bouclé ring, increasing the extraordinary softness already given by the fibers that compose it
- the resulting yarn, thanks to its structure, stores body heat between the fibers and guarantees a high heat exchange that will retain heat only when necessary. A perfectly functional thermoregulation!
- the Vitamina yarn, thanks to this set of characteristics, gives the possibility to create airy garments and guarantees volume in the knitwear, following the trends dictated by the fashion world and by the most famous knitting bloggers of northern Europe

which in turn became 7 UNIQUE and UNREPEATABLE colours, because they were created with an ad hoc recipe, just as you can see from these photos.
And believe us, it’s not enough to replicate a sequence of colours, it’s about calibrating, combining, testing the results and verifying that the outcome of the color inside the ball of yarn is PERFECT.

The thickness of Vitamina yarn makes it ideal even for those who are new to knitting.
If you are looking for an easy to knit yarn you are in the right place! Vitamina is worked with the 7 iron but for an even softer result you can choose a larger iron, such as a 12 iron.
